Worcester Warriors wing Bryce Heem has been summoned by the Rugby Football Union (RFU) disciplinary panel following his red-card incident in the recently concluded Aviva Premiership game against Wasps at Ricoh Arena on Sunday.

The 28-year-old, who scored the opening try in the game was sent-off in the 45th minute for performing a tackle on Wasps wing Willie le Roux and it changed the complexion of the match as Dai Young's men amassed three tries after an evenly contested first half which ended at 19 apiece.

A statement released by RFU confirmed that Heem will attend a three-man disciplinary panel on Monday night.

"Bryce Heem of Worcester Warriors will appear before an RFU Disciplinary panel this evening charged with tackling the jumper in the air," read the statement.

"The wing was sent off by referee Luke Pearce in the Aviva Premiership match between Worcester and Wasps at the weekend for tackling Willie Le Roux of Wasps in the air. The incident occurred in the sixth minute of the second half of the match."

Worcester Warriors had to end on the losing side by a seven point margin despite scoring two tries in the final minutes of the encounter and they continue to remain 11th in the table.
