Bordeaux Begles ran an eight try riot as they trounced RC Enisei with a 17-57 bonus point victory in the European Challenge Cup encounter at Krasny Yar Stadium on Friday.

Alexandre Roumat (4'), Peni Ravai Kovekalou (19'), Cyril Cazeaux (26') and centre Jean-Baptiste Dubie (30') were the try scorers for Bordeaux Begles in the first half during which they attained the bonus point while fly-half Matthieu Jalibert slotted three conversions and a penalty to take them to 29 points at half time.

RC Enisei, who suffered a setback when lock Viacheslav Krasylnyk was sin-binned in the 19th minute opened their account in the 38th minute when Jurijs Baranovs crossed over as they trailed by 22 points at the end of the first half.

Matthieu Jalibert extended the visitors' advantage with a converted try at the start of the second half, RC Enisei hooker Stanislav Selskiy negated his effort with a try of his own few minutes later.

Even though Selskiy kicked a drop goal to provide some respite to the home side, Bordeaux scored three more tries in the final 10 minutes that came from replacements Jean-Baptiste Poux, Yann Lesgourgues and Kitione Kamikamica to complete a resounding 40 point victory that has taken them to the top of Pool 1.
