Dragons have confirmed that head coach Bernard Jackman has parted away from the Welsh regional side.

Jackman joined Dragons from Grenoble in 2017 and has left the job in less than 18 months after signing a three-year contract.

The decision follows after the Rodney Parade outfit had a dismal season where they managed just three wins from 10 games in Pro 14 that saw them positioned sixth in Conference B table.

Their European Challenge Cup campaign has also not gone to plans as they managed a solitary win from three games and are at third place in Pool 1 this season after failing to reach the knock-out stage in last year's edition.

Jackman, who has experience of playing for Connacht, Leinster, Sale Sharks and Clontarf featured for Ireland nine times between 2005 and 2008 before starting his coaching career with Grenoble as forwards coach in 2011.
