Rugby Football Union on Monday announced two week suspension for Bath pair Francois Louw and Kahn Fotuali'i following the Aviva Premiership encounter against Harlequins last weekend at Recreation Ground.

South Africa flanker Louw was charged with tip-tackling Harlequins scrum-half Charlie Mulchrone while Samoa international Fotuali'i was charged with "punching or striking" flanker Dave Ward.

Louw pleaded not guilty in front a three-person disciplinary panel but was proven guilty and was handed the ban.

"The panel found this was a dangerous tackle which merited a low-end entry point of two weeks," said the statement from the hearing.

"The panel could not reduce the sanction further in light of the fact the player denied any act of foul play had been committed."

Both Louw and Fotuali'i will be eligible to play again from 7th March. Bath are placed fourth in the table with 47 points from 15 games.
