Australia playmaker Quade Cooper has denied his selection for the Barbarians in the upcoming clash against Samoa to be played at Twickenham Stadium on 27th November.

Barbarians earlier announced the selection of the 33-year-old in a statement along with Wallabies players Len Ikitau, Nic White and Pete Samu and South African duo Steven Kitshoff and Frans Malherbe.

Nevertheless, Cooper in his social media account denied the news and said he will continue to play for Japanese club Kintetsu Liners, which he joined in 2019.

"At no stage have I agreed to play for the Barbarian FC in the upcoming game against Samoa.. I'm contracted to the Kintetsu Liners," Cooper tweeted on Tuesday.

Cooper had earlier represented Barbarians in 2017 against Australia which the invitational side went on to lose 31-28.

He was recently recalled into Australian squad after four years by head coach Dave Rennie and played a pivotal role in the side finishing second in the table after four wins from six games.
