England international Anthony Watson is set to make his first comeback in 13 months after he was named in the starting line-up of Bath Rugby in the upcoming Gallagher Premiership clash against Sale Sharks.

Watson ruptured his Achilles tendon during the 2018 Six Nations tournament opener against Ireland and has been out of action since then.

Even though he resumed training during the pre-season ahead of the 2018/19 season, the 25-year-old once again was sidelined after re-tearing an Achilles tendon.

Watson will be joined by Ruaridh McConnochie and Joe Cokanasiga in the back three while Semesa Rokoduguni also makes a comeback from injury and is named on the bench.

Both, Bath and Sale are separated by just one point and are positioned seventh and eighth in the table respectively.
