Scorecard

The All Blacks concluded their 2016 Rugby Championship campaign in an emphatic fashion by crushing the Springboks 15-57 during a on-sided clash at Growthpoint Kings Park in Durban on Saturday.

Steve Hansen's men ran nine remarkable tries against Allister Coetzee's Boks as the hosts continued to drop adventure for conservatism and rely upon veteran Morne Steyn's goalkicking abilities.

With the resounding 42 points margin win, the All Blacks moved one step closer to knocking-off the world record for test wins in Durban.

An early fourth minute penalty against the visitors in the scrum allowed Steyn to open the account for the hosts on the scoreboard with a three-pointer.

An opportunity to even the scoreline came the visitors' way on the seventh minute, however, the All Blacks fly-half Beauden Barrett kicking into the wind, drifted the ball wide of the posts.

Another penalty came the hosts' way on 17th minute after Kieran Read was penalized for not releasing the ball. Steyn's kick extended the scoreline to 6-0.

However, three minutes later, the AB's found themselves within five meter distance from the Boks try line. Right-wing Israel Dagg crossed over the try line with the help of scrum-half TJ Perenara and blindside-flanker Jerome Kaino.

Barrett failed to make the conversion making it 0 from 2.

On the 27th minute, the All Blacks gave away another penalty for a deliberate knock-on by hooker Dane Coles as Steyn made it three in three as the scoreline read 9-5.

However, five minutes into the game, TJ Perenara sniped through the lineout to touch down for a try. Match referee Jerome Garces referred the decision to the TMO, who after a little bit of deliberation decided to award the try.

Barrett this time made no mistakes with the conversion as the visitors (9-12) took lead for the first time in the match.

On the penultimate minute of the first-half, Steyn made a desperate attempt at the drop goal from halfway only to miss the posts by a mile.

On the final minute of the first-half, Brodie Retallick touched down for a try after a driving maul from the All Blacks. However, Garces once again referred the TMO, who found number-eight Kieran Read in front of the maul as no try was awarded.

The score remained 9-12 at the end of the first-half.

Three minutes into the second-half, the All Blacks went through the phases as outside-centre Anton Lienert-Brown, who has proven to be quite a star for his side in the recent times, helped the visitors set up another try with Perenara and Barrett putting Dagg over the try line.

Barrett found himself once again off target with the conversion as the scoreline remained 9-17.

The All Blacks conceded another penalty on the 49th minute as another Steyn's three-pointer kept the hosts (12-17) alive in the game.

On 54th minute, the visitors managed to block a clearance kick of the Boks as Barrett crossed over for the fourth try for the All Blacks.

Barrett once again failed to make the conversion as the scoreline remained intact on 12-22.

The All Blacks conceded another penalty on the 58th minute as Steyn scored his fifth three-pointer to reduce the lead down to just seven points.

However, a couple of minutes later, Perenara crossed over for the fifth try of the match following a burst of pace from Read on the outside before an interchange between Dagg and Coles allowing Perenara to score the touch down.

Barrett had a laugh as he finally slotted the conversion (15-29) making it two from five for the match.

The two sides brought in a series of replacements in the next eight minutes.

Barrett crossed over for his second try of the match on the 71st minute after replacement centre Lionel Mapoe failed to control the pass allowing Barrett to break from halfway and score the sixth try of the match for the All Blacks. Garces once again reached out to the TMO for a Ben Smith knock-on, however the try was awarded.

Barrett added the extras with the conversion (15-36).

A minute later, Boks' replacement lock Lood de Jager was sin-binned for going in at speed without any intention of making a tackle at the ruck.

With a man down, the hosts were reduced to mere spectators as the 2015 World Cup winners up'd the ante.

Replacement hooker Codie Taylor crossed over the try line on the 74th minute after the All Blacks gathered their lineout and drove to the line.

Left-wing Waisake Naholo replacement Lima Sopoaga slotted the conversion (15-43).

Fullback Ben Smith scored the eight try for the All Blacks on the 77th minute after Barrett before being taken down short of the try line, popped it to Smith who went on to score the try.

Sopoaga added two more with the conversion (15-50).

Taylor was sin-binned on the 80th minute for taking out Pat Lambie.

However, another masterclass by the All Blacks allowed Liam Squire to score the ninth try of the match. Barrett's kick through was gathered by Smith, who popped it to Squire as the replacement flanker went on to score the try.

Sopoaga's conversion sealed a historic 15-57 victory for the All Blacks which is also recorded their biggest ever victory against the Boks, surpassing the 36-point triumph at Loftus, Pretoria, in 2003.
