Scotland head coach have released Alex Dunbar and Magnus Bradbury from the squad ahead of their final game of the summer tour against Fiji on 24th June in Suva.

Glasgow centre Dunbar, who featured in both the games of their summer tour against Italy and Australia will head back home early while Edinburgh back-row Bradbury has also been given an early break.

Finn Russell and Allan Dell have joined the Lions and have been named as replacements for the tour game against Chiefs on Tuesday along with Tommy Seymour while Greig Laidlaw has been named on the XV.

Head coach Townsend said the decision to send them early was to give them early break considering they wont be in contention for final game.

"Alex and Magnus will not travel to Fiji as we always planned to reduce the squad for our final match on tour," said Townsend.

"We felt it was right that they got a rest if they weren't being considered for selection."

The former Glasgow Warriors coach also wished Russell and Dell on their call up to Lions squad and is confident that the experience of featuring against back to back world champions will help them in their career.

"They go with our blessing and we look forward to seeing them continuing their excellent form, enjoying the Lions experience and coming back better players."
