As England's autumn internationals are fast approaching, we take a look at four of the England's openside players, who are already ruled out of it with injuries.

James Haskell, Wasps, 31-years-old, 70 caps

The first to be ruled out, Haskell limped off towards the end of the second Test of the 3-0 series whitewash of Australia in June and has not played since having undergone foot surgery. Expected to return in December.

Jack Clifford, Harlequins, 23-years-old, 8 caps.

Haskell's injury was the perfect opportunity for Clifford to win a starting place in England's back row until ankle damage incurred on Aviva Premiership duty ruled him out for 10 weeks and he is due back mid-December.

Sam Jones, Wasps, 24-years-old, 0 caps

A bulldozing start to the season from the Wasps flanker was brought to an end by a judo session during England's training camp in Brighton. A broken right leg and ankle damage has left Jones sidelined for five months.

Mike Williams, Leicester, 24-years-old, 0 caps

To complete an astonishing run of injuries in one position, Williams was told that a broken arm sustained during a tackle drill in a pre-match warm-up would sideline him for eight to 12 weeks.
