Adam Radwan scored a hat-trick while Joel Hodgson contributed with 18 points as Newcastle Falcons trounced RC Enisei 64-7 to make it to the quarter-finals of the European Rugby Challenge Cup at Kingston Park on Sunday.

Tom Penny (1'), Hodgson (11'), Simon Uzokwe (25') and Glen Young (31') scored first half tries for Newcastle Falcons with Toby Flood adding the extras on a couple of occasions to take the score to 24 points while the visitors failed to add any point in the first 40 minutes.

Starting the second half with a lead of 24 points, Hodgson (43'), Radwan (45', 53' and 76'), Zach Kibirige (62') and Ryan Burrows (79') scored five more tries. Hodgson also kicked all the four conversions he attempted as Dean Richards' side took the tally to 64 points.

The French side's only response came from replacement Maxim Gargalic when he touched down in the 68th minute and a conversion from Yuri Kushnarev took them to seven points but they were never in the game from the start as the Falcons completed a 64-7 victory.

The win has taken the Falcons to 23 points that has guaranteed them a place in the play-off while RC Enisei continue to languish at the bottom after their fifth consecutive defeat.
